God our Creator alone has the right to define us, but we live in a broken world where people want to determine for themselves what is good, noble, and right. They want to pursue their own happiness apart from God’s word and God’s ways.
Thankfully God is still loving and gracious toward us. In fact, the Scripture tells us that God’s love for us is not based on what we do to earn His favor. Instead it is based solely on His compassion and His care for lost sinners. As John 3:16 reminds us “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
